Leadership: The Light

You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV)

The one essential Qualification for Christian leadership is Jesus Christ! 'The Light of the world' (John 8:12)!

By Him, we’re redeemed, reborn, and remade into singular images of Him! By His mercy, we’re cleaned on the inside. In His glory, we glow on the outside.

Salvation may come in a flash of Light, but transforming our minds is a P-R-O-C-E-S-S. Nevertheless, when we cast out bad thoughts and follow THE Star ever more closely…

Our appearance grows increasingly bright. We SHINE, which is His direction to us.

'Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you' (Isaiah 60:1).

The Result?

Instead of a veiled and dull existence, we live increasingly transparent lives. Observers see through us to the Son’s Light.

Given a choice, most people want to live in the light. Without knowing its Source, they’re drawn to it.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

'You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven' (Matthew 5:14-16).

Entertainment thrives in all kinds of light: from bright stage washes to phones in our hands; from cinema screens to nighttime concerts. However…

All manmade lights break, turn off, or burn out, just as manmade stars quickly disappear.

But God-made stars in the sky and on Earth radiate the Light of their Creator. Media was designed for your entrance. When you light it up, you’re reflecting Christ!

Leadership: The Light (Part 9)

* The Holy Spirit as a Teacher.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re ALL called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re ALL called to models of Jesus, and we ALL have gifts, talents, and callings from God–  to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend READING THE BIBLE DAILY.

WARNING: Don’t focus on favorite verses, because out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
