Hot Topics: America
Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them.
Galatians 4:17 (NIV)
America ignites worldwide passion.*
Many nations hate us, seeing our flaws: including racism, materialism, gun-crazy shooters, me-first arrogance, and billionaire bullies calling the shots.
Many watchers love us, seeing freedom, ample resources, opportunity, military might, social mobility, and the superstars of entertainment.
Americans live big, drive fast, speak loud,
Make films, love sports, sing jazz, act out, talk trash,
Teach tech, spend lots, want more, dress up, flash bling,
Show skin, work hard, stand tall, fight tough, win wars,
And show uncommon generosity.
Many of us ignore other nations, but they definitely don’t ignore us. Therein, the U.S. is a hot topic!
Actors, models, and talent for Christ,
(most specifically Americans:)
Let’s use the giant spotlights God gave us in film, fashion, music, and theatre to showcase THE Rock Star (and not ourselves).
You are the shiniest people I know! Showing God’s talent on stage is crucial. It’s the bait to get people’s attention.
But off stage, let’s reflect a humble church… glowing in the midst of a proud nation. If pride is a dark and blinding status, the Light of Jesus is the remedy.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.
WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
