I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.
Deuteronomy 30:19 (NIV)
Choose this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15 (ESV)
“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
1 Corinthians 10:23 (ESV)
Without a doubt, I don’t “like” abortion. I believe most who seek one… don’t either:(
Before my conversion (at 51), the right or wrong about it confused me. The logical words of Pro-Choice make sense. But then again, what about the babies?
As a believer, I see more clearly. I'd like to share some thoughts with my brethren (especially if you’re “hot” about it– and tempted to judge or condemn others).
Some are 'Darkened in their understanding' (Ephesians 4:18). I was, but hate will not help enlighten, and certainly, the opposite happens. Christian “judges” may harm the cause of Christ among those most in need of a Savior, which is why LOVE is God’s #1 law.
Pause for a moment and consider this: Aborted babies go straight to Heaven, bypassing Earth’s inescapable pain. Their new lives are in the best Hands of all, while their moms may continue to suffer. As God forgives and restores, so should we.
Countless children (and adults) were murdered when Jesus, the Man, lived in Israel. He never disputed the laws of Rome, knowing God's Laws include resurrection!* Yes, children pass through death’s doorway early, which hurts our hearts now, but embraces theirs!
Father, Son, and Spirit are pro-choice, too. They don’t agree with bad human choices, but they DO give us the freedom to choose. It’s crystal clear in the Old Testament. Jesus was equally clear in the New. God allows our choices, so we can learn.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Yes, you can vote, but don’t act hatefully… or think the one sin is worse than another.* As ambassadors for a loving God, love is the only show you’re called to make.

* ‘For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it’ (James 2:10).
NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.
WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
