Why should beauty be called a hot topic?
Because it provokes heated responses, like desire, envy, and admiration.
Because beautiful people get looks, likes, and lots of attention along the way.
When stars sizzle in red carpet events, when beauty queens dazzle the cameras, when a model’s face fires up ad campaigns...
Emotions are sparked, aroused, and inflamed, but caution must be used when handling FIRE!
I understand girls want to feel pretty and that most guys enjoy being handsome. But if our eyes get stuck on “packaging” (our own, or especially on others)...
We may lose BIG when “the box” is opened, when our hearts and character are revealed!
Actors, models, and talent for Christ,
Consider 2 questions & (my) answers:
Q: Should a beautiful believer hide it?
A: No! But a beautiful Christian’s behavior MUST display an even greater beauty!
Q: Should a beautiful believer flaunt it?
A: No! But to avoid lust, envy, and come-ons, dress with finesse, in cool understatement.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
I believe I’m an “expert” on beauty. My mom was a New York fashion model: “the face” of a big cosmetic campaign. She helped countless rising stars get noticed.
My daughter, Glynis, Shine’s leading partner, photographed New York models for decades.
My own professional “super-power” is analysis and application of this niche knowledge to you and others… so you’re “irresistibly” attractive: to elevate you… who elevate God!
Here’s my “beauty meet Spirit” bottom line:
Beauty from God is a gift with a plan.* Surely, it’s to glorify the Giver!
But don’t fall in love with the attention. Your elevation is (just) a billboard, pointing to THE makeover “Specialist”!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.
WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
