Beginnings: Your New Age

Here I am today, eighty-five years old! I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then. Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as He said.”

Joshua 14:10-12 (NIV)

“You don't have a chance against him," Saul replied. "You're only a boy, and he's been a soldier all his life."

1 Samuel 17:33 (CEV)

When Goliath saw that David was just a healthy, good-looking boy, he made fun of him.

1 Samuel 17:42 (CEV)

Consider the stars, Caleb and David.

Caleb was an 80+ warrior who climbed a mountain in the Promised Land to defeat a government of giants. He helped form the nation of Israel.

David was a small teen with a slingshot, who stepped up when seasoned soldiers wouldn’t, to kill Goliath, a taunting giant. He helped save the nation of Israel.

Surely, God favors unlikely heroes!

'God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong' (1 Corinthians 1:27).

Note to YOUNG actors, models, and talent for Christ:

You’re God’s soldiers in a youth-led movement. Your participation is vital for all reasons you know, and many you don't.

'Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe' (1 Timothy 4:12).

Note to PARENTS of God's youngest performers:

You know your bright kids are unusual: not only in their performing talent, but also in their faith, depth, and courage. Their maturity of heart is ageless, because our gracious Father ordained it. Consider yourselves prayer warriors on every set (because you’ll be there, too): praying for your child… and EVERYONE else.

'Out of the mouth of babes' (Psalm 8:2), God ordains strength.

Note to mature actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Entertainment also needs seasoned saints. Consider yourselves officers who lead!

'Those who are planted in the house of the Lord... shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing' (Psalm 92:13-14). Because God says, 'Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you' (Isaiah 46:4).

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Your years on Earth are both IRRELEVANT and very RELEVANT to this mission.

Every age is called. All fan needs heroes. This age of media was made for you!

Beginnings: Your New Age (Part 15)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re ALL called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re ALL called to models of Jesus, and we ALL have gifts, talents, and callings from God–  to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend READING THE BIBLE DAILY.

WARNING: Don’t focus on favorite verses, because out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
