Suffering: Dangerous Times, Like Esther

Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Esther 4:14 (NKJV)

The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken.

Psalm 33:10-11 (NLT)

Before Hitler ordered the Holocaust, the genocide of all Jews in Europe, the Persian Jews (with Esther) faced it first: their unrestricted annihilation.

Dangerous times are among us today: as fear is blown into swells of darkness, as hard-hearted leaders, greedy for gain… stoke fires of hatred in turbulent waves, drawing to themselves unanchored people.

They wait on the apathy of the just:

  • When the love of good men diminishes, amidst their concerns of self-interest.

  • When hearts of mercy begin to harden, as saints become judges, calling out sins.

  • When worldly fears come before godly faith, and “churches” become their gathering places.

They barricade themselves against danger, singing worship songs without worship lives! But the only Fortress destined to stand is Jesus Himself, and He's on the move.

Because His Commission is like a boat, outward bound and headed to the rescue. Evil propels it, but cannot sink it. Until Jesus rules this Earth in Person, cruel movements lurk in all of our seas.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Christians don’t cower in dangerous times. Instead, they rise and shine in the darkness, much like Esther did by risking her life.

Did God allow these waves of media as the means to magnify your movement?

Think of yourselves as your Captain’s Coast Guard… looking for lost hands to grab and pull up.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re ALL called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re ALL called to models of Jesus, and we ALL have gifts, talents, and callings from God–  to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend READING THE BIBLE DAILY.

WARNING: Don’t focus on favorite verses, because out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
