Suffering: Childhood Trauma, Like Daniel
See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of My Father in Heaven.
Matthew 18:10 (NIV)
Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”
John 21:15 (NIV)
You have taught children and infants to tell of Your strength, silencing Your enemies and all who oppose You.
Psalm 8:2 (NLT)
Imagine yourself as an upscale child: a good-looking and intelligent child, a God-focused child in Jerusalem! During a siege and terrifying war, your entire family has been murdered.
But you've been spared to become A SERVANT to the king of the invading army. Such was the case with Daniel and his friends. They were taken as boys to Babylon.*
They found themselves in a foreign country, with new language, customs, and laws to learn. They were STUCK with the men who killed their kin.
If you were Daniel, would you despise them?
Would this pain define the rest of your life?
Or would you try to make the best of it?
Daniel and his friends made choice #3. They adapted to the foreign culture. While trusting God, they walked forward in faith.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
If you suffered from a childhood trauma, I pray you’ve forgiven those who harmed you, walked forward, and made the best of your life. Other Bible heroes suffered heartaches in their sensitive and formative years.
But now, many lost and eager young fans are enduring unspeakable anguish. They’re searching for hope in Entertainment.
Self-absorbed stars show them make-believe joy. Therein, they're leading hurt kids to more hurt.
Your rising on media’s stages and screens can point them to the One Perfect Father. Therefore, be resolved. Compete for airtime. Children of trauma need the God of love. They’ll meet Him through you!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re ALL called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re ALL called to models of Jesus, and we ALL have gifts, talents, and callings from God– to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend READING THE BIBLE DAILY.
WARNING: Don’t focus on favorite verses, because out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
