Hot Topics: Fame
By now I could have lifted My Hand and struck you and your people with a plague to wipe you off the face of the earth. But I have spared you for a purpose—to show you My power and to spread My fame throughout the earth.
Exodus 9:15-16 (NLT)
(This quote is God speaking through Moses to Pharaoh)
The Lord was with Joshua, and his fame was in all the land.
Joshua 6:27 (ESV)
I will also give you [Solomon] what you did not ask for—riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life!
1 Kings 3:13 (NLT)
David’s fame spread throughout every land, and the Lord made all the nations fear him.
1 Chronicles 14:17 (NIV)
Then His [Christ’s] fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.
Matthew 4:24 (NKJV)
Some Christians shun the idea of fame, as if it's too worldly or immoral. I get it, because fame can be misused…
As can beauty, talent, muscle, genius, or smooth-talking speakers with charisma. All gifts carry responsibility (that can be used for good or for evil).
On the other Hand, Jesus was famous. His first followers became famous, too. Before Christ, God lifted up many stars.
Therefore, I believe modern-day Christians should plan to be relatively famous. Your fan group may be your neighbors and guests... or a local theatre audience.
Maybe they're in your high school or business... or they're worldwide through social media, flocking from popular performances!
Just make sure to reach beyond your church walls. Because outsiders need to meet Jesus! Therefore, you need to model HIM... to them.
So act Him out in your daily routines.
Sing His praises in all your successes,
And dance with delight every chance you get.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
If Christians have criticized your mission (or say fame opposes humility), I pray scornful words bounce off your armor! Jesus, the Model of humility, was famous, and ever more famous now!
The backdrop is dark. The Light is in you. Be famous for God.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.
WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
