Love... Is A Happy Ending
Being confident of this, that He Who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
Romans 8::28-30 (NKJV)
The end of a thing is better than its beginning
Ecclesiastes 7:8 (NKJV)
Jesus is ‘The Author and Finisher’ (Hebrews 12:2),
‘The Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last’ (Revelation 22:13).
In team competitions, the closer's role is crucial to secure a hard-fought win.
If Team A is Alpha, led by Jesus,
If Team B is the Beast, led by Satan,
If this world is a show and a trial, if God wrote, produced, and set up His team… to carry us to a grand conclusion…
If Jesus, the Word, was God’s opener– and Jesus, the King, will close it all down in a shocking, glorious finale to an eternal victory party for us and every member of Team A…
If Satan became the antagonist– and heads Team B’s gang of evil spirits, whose #1 job is to take us down with lies, temptations, and discouragement, who wants each of us to join him in hell…
Then,
As Earth rushes toward its conclusion, all that the Bible says will come to pass.
For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My Word be that goes forth from My Mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.’ (Isaiah 55:10-11).
With God's Own Son, our Captain, on our side, love WILL win. It WILL rise… just like Jesus! Regardless of how hard our lives have been, the happy ending we desire WILL come!
Quite often in His Word, God reminds us: our current lives are brief: like a vapor, 'That appears for a little while and then vanishes away' (James 4:14).
Yet when we're sad, our pain doesn't feel brief. Tests and trials seem unbearably long. But…
If we focus our thoughts and acts on love... our Father’s love for us and ours for Him, extending it to all of our neighbors…
A loving lifestyle will lighten the wait. Inevitably. Miraculously. Until the fruition of love comes to pass.
Love Is A Happy Ending (Part 66, Conclusion)
NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.
WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
