Love... Is Liberating

Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:8 (NIV)

If you continue in My Word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

John 8:31-32 (NASB)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 (ESV)

Jesus is the model Freedom Fighter. As a Man, He won THE war of the world. His unanticipated weaponry was formed from an unforeseen strategy:

A continual bombardment of love!

During His three-year, full-on love campaign, it was win-win-win. Every day, He won. At the very end was His coup de grace, on a brutal Cross, Satan thought he won… BUT in submission came Christ’s greatest strength.

The dividing veil between God and man was torn through and through– by His sacrifice. Thus, the curtain fell on the devil’s reign (although it wasn’t apparent quite yet).

Our Captain LOVED us straight through His Own death to a 3-day surprise resurrection. Jesus expanded His victory walk to include ALL followers, then and now.

We were freed from the enemy’s chokeholds:

Shiny, golden chains and sweat-covered ropes; picture-pretty lies and horrible ties that kept us in a lockdown on death row.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

You’re His commissioned freedom fighters, too. Until Jesus comes back to close the show, the devil still rules unaware people.

They know they’re attacked, but don’t know by whom. For their freedom, we fight relentlessly. Like our Captain, love is our weapon.

(Against Satan’s troops, love becomes a sword: the sword of the Spirit: the Word, the Truth.)

Love… Is Liberating (Part 52)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.

WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
