Love... Is Fruitful

He who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the Word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Matthew 13:23 (NKJV)

If “the Seed” is the Word of God, Jesus!... if “the soil” is the status of our hearts– then the Gardener, God, has a great plan…

Specifically, that Christ’s followers will grow to become trees of righteousness: placed in green pastures, rooted in the Truth, washed by the Water, and grown in the Light.

By nature, nurture, and deep commitment, Christians are called to bear fruit– and share it!

However, please note: Bearing fruit is not our choice or our act. It doesn't come from the tree's (our) hard work. Fruitfulness comes from abiding in Christ: a wonder from God to nourish others!

When we walk in love,

  • React joyfully,

  • Abide peacefully,

  • Persist patiently,

  • Speak and act kindly,

  • Display God’s goodness,

  • Behave faithfully,

  • Treat people gently,

  • And use self-control...

We’re extending the fruit of the Spirit. Lost and hurt people will eat and want more! How better to “warm up” an audience and make them “hungry” for the direct Source?

When we represent our Savior this way…it’s a love feast that shows others we care– and a door to Jesus will gently open!

Love… Is Fruitful (Part 41)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.

WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
