Dream Haters: Duty Debaters

Avoid foolish debates… for they are unprofitable and worthless.

Titus 3:9 (HSCB)

Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to Him those He wanted, and they came to Him. He appointed twelve that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach… When His family heard about this, they went to take charge of Him, for they said, “He is out of His Mind.”

Mark 3: 13-14, 21 (NKJV)

Israel’s people dreamed of a Savior. They dreamed of freedom from Roman control. They dreamed of their former prosperity.

But the type of freedom the Preacher preached, and the shocking way the Preached preached it, didn't sync with their dreams, expectations, or partial understanding of Scripture.

Consider one certainty of Scripture: No person can fully understand it:

'As the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are My Ways higher than your ways and My Thoughts than your thoughts' (Isaiah 55:9).

Nevertheless, EAGERLY we study, listen, cherish, and share inspiration! The benefits of pursuing God's Word are beyond measure. Many are detailed in Psalm 119– also throughout the rest of the Bible.*

But even the best-known Bible scholars shouldn’t stand on pinnacles of power– speaking their opinions as certainties!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Most of you will face “duty debaters:” Christians who don’t understand your mission. What many of them don’t realize is — when the church turned its back on media, 'The prince of the power of the air' (Ephesians 2:2) flew around the world delightedly… UNCHECKED.

He made a grand web and spun a deceit. The result? Uncountable millions of clueless fans… got caught in his pretty web– to great harm!

But hallelujah!

What the enemy intended for harm, 'God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives' (Genesis 50:20).

Therefore

Refuse “church” debates about your duty. Miraculous connections to Jesus are now happening! They’ve seen Christians rising and shining. So hang tight with your kin who understand. As for those who don't? Be patient with them.

God CAN transform them. Christ’s doubtful brothers became believers. Joseph’s cruel brothers DID bow to him.

When duty debaters witness your rise, those who love you will rally and rise, too!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
