The Call To Overcome: The Grand Prize

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:14 (NKJV)

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

You face challenges! Giants and mountains! What should you do about “huff and puff” threats?

  • Should you run toward a giant bully? David did, even though he was a kid.

  • Should you fight your way up a mean mountain? Caleb did, at the age of 85!

Consider some additional questions:

  • Should any of us expect easy paths, following Christ’s Order to overcome? He says, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life' (John 14:6). He also says, 'Difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it' (Matthew 7:14). Bottom line: Playing it “safe” is not the best option.

  • Should we wait for the “right time” to step up? Jesus says, 'Behold I stand at the door and knock' (Revelation 3:20). If we don’t answer, if we get lazy, what will our fate be?* 'Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap' (Ecclesiastes 11:4). Bottom line: How can Christians wait for a better time when our “tomorrows” are NOT guaranteed? *

  • Should we copy apathetic Christians? 'To one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin' (James 4:17). Countless kids fall victim to peer pressure. They search through for leadership. Bottom line: You're called to be a better example. Some lost souls WILL follow you to Jesus!

According to God…

The REAL risk is not in the mission field: It's refusing to rise up and step out! Because when you follow the Great Shepherd, the Defender will ALWAYS protect you! **

But in your calling as a performer, have you failed if you don’t become famous? If your success is on a smaller stage? NO!

If your witness brought ONE person to Christ, and HER witness inspired countless others… would a one-on-one God call it “failure”? NO!

Remember:

  • Your goal is not fame, but witnessing Christ (by walking in the fruit of His Spirit). People must LIKE you, before they TRUST you.

  • God decides the scope of your audience. Whatever it is, wherever it is… it will be perfectly suited for you.

  • Your biggest hurdles are SPIRITUAL. The weaker you feel, the stronger God moves. All He asks is for you to continue!

Therefore, continue! Soon enough, you’ll see: The giant was only a grasshopper, and the mountain was only a molehill.

You're destined to win and your Prize awaits! His Name is Jesus. The rest is “gravy”.

'He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son' (Revelation 21:7).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
