Mobile Technology: To & Fro

The earth is violently broken,
The earth is split open,
The earth is shaken exceedingly.
The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard,
And shall totter like a hut;
Its transgression shall be heavy upon it,
And it will fall, and not rise again.

For the Eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore, from now on you shall have wars.

Can we disagree that Earth is broken? With wars, earthquakes, tsunamis, meteors, pandemics, recession, stock market shifts, and pendulums of public opinion…

  • We rock with turbulent tides of unease.

  • We roll in positions of protection.

  • We reel from deficits of direction.

  • We rumble as fear takes aim at faith hearts.

Yet… Salvation’s Captain calls out to us. He watches us with His vigilant Eye… and sends stars to the dark stages of Earth.

Our Captain is ready to promote us, but are Christians ready to be promoted? Or have many saints behaved foolishly, pretending that wars and rumors of wars… won’t touch us, as we act like careless kids?

At the core of the breakage is Satan, who 'Comes only to steal and kill and destroy' (John 10:10). Far too many people don't realize he’s 'The prince of the power of the air' (Ephesians 2:2).

Grown Christians treat Sundays like they’re in school (which might be fine IF they did their homework). But…

One hour a week with God won’t grow us up. God says, 'Show yourselves men' (Isaiah 46:8), soldiers in Christ. But…

Actors, models, and talent for Christ: Consider some performer Do’s and Don’ts:

  • DO learn the ways and means of media.

  • DON’T get too cozy and let your guard down.

  • DO grow up in Truth. His Name is Jesus.

  • DON’T be controlled by a phone in your hand.

  • DO be controlled by the Lord in your heart.
