To The End: Quitting The Field

He is the living God, and steadfast forever… His dominion shall endure to the end.

I’ve known job hoppers. When the going got tough, they’d leave the field, seeking greener and easier pastures.

I’ve known work shirkers. When the going got tough, they’d look busy, hoping their laziness wasn’t noticed.

I’ve known fear fainters. When the going got tough, they’d freeze or hide, shrinking at the thought of stepping forward.

I’ve known fickle friends. When the going got tough, they’d turn away, betraying loyalty and commitments.

I’ve known complainers. When the going got tough, they’d look for fault, hurling hateful stones of condemnation.

I’ve known hypocrites. When the going got tough, they were exposed, because faking it only lasts so long.

I’ve known the trials of God’s performers. When the going got tough, some left the field, got lazy, got scared, turned away, found fault, and were exposed as talent buriers.

Therefore, 'Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you' (1 Peter 4:12). Get your mind prepared. Get the 'Mind of Christ' (1 Corinthians 2:16).

It's your gift; 'You shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit' (Acts 2:38). It's your duty, 'As a good soldier of Jesus Christ' (2 Timothy 2:3).

It's your destiny; 'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations' (Matthew 28:19). He’s your Teacher; 'The Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things' (John 14:26).

Do Christians think a God-honoring path in the fields of media will be easy? 'In this world you will have trouble' (John 16:33).

Were the paths of the Bible’s stars easy? No! 'If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me' (Luke 9:23). Is anything worthwhile easy? No! 'Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two' (Matthew 5:41).

Through decades of talent development, studying thousands of Shine graduates, I’ve seen that EVERYONE who continues to the end… SUCCEEDS!
