Hot Topics: Racism

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Revelation 7:9-10 (ESV)

The way I see it? Racism is stupid. Nothing about it makes one bit of sense, and especially no sense for Christians!

Do lush gardens grow one brand of flower?

  • Do forests thrive with one genus of tree?

  • Do seas and rivers host one school of fish?

  • Do vast sky-scapes feature one flock of birds?

  • Do all of us eat identical foods?

  • Did God give us identical bodies?

  • Do all of us wear identical clothes?

Also, black and white “tags” aren’t accurate. The darkest person is chocolate brown. NOT black. The lightest person is the palest beige. NOT white. Therefore, we're all in the same family.

Could our grand diversity of cultures be like Starbucks, where colors are flavors?

For your imminent consideration:

How can racism and Christianity co-exist in followers of Jesus? If God is brilliant and racism is dumb, then I think the least a racist can do is to publicly disassociate with our wonderfully diverse Savior.

Misrepresenting God is a GRAVE sin.

Because denouncing the Lord’s creations... is denouncing the One Who designed them (with immeasurable, Fatherly love).

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

As artists, you form a wondrous RAINBOW! My mom envisioned it in the 60s (when “rainbows” of people were seldom seen).

Shine continues to “show off” God’s palette, and I’m so thankful for this legacy, which has brought so much brightness to the world!

Everyone bleeds red. Jesus, most of all. In God’s finale, only the heart counts.

P.S. Jesus, the Man, was a mid-shade of brown, and no sane man could ever call Him “white”.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.

WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
