Leadership: Ambassadors
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us.
2 Corinthians 5:20 (NKJV)
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
In this era of modern media, in film, fashion, music, and theatre, on screens that attract countless naive eyes… you’re ambassadors for the Real Rock Star.
You’re 'diplomatic ministers of the highest rank sent on a special mission.'
You’re 'authorized messengers or representatives' of a foreign government.
Because your uttermost and eternal 'Citizenship is in Heaven' (Philippians 3:20), with God.*
2 Corinthians 5:20 awes me. Consider one Word within it: PLEADING! Our Creator can create anything. He doesn’t need anyone to help Him. Nevertheless, He wants our involvement.
Is that why the Lord is PLEADING through us? YES!
He’s PLEADING for the lives of His children,
PLEADING that they’ll love Him, as He loves them,
PLEADING for their safe return from chaos.
He’s chosen you and me to look for them,
To be a light for Him, to lead them home.
That’s why we’re commissioned ambassadors..
The Apostle Paul implores (as in begs) God's new church to be reconciled to Him, to be renewed in close relationship.** In their roles as ambassadors for Christ, they were appointed to instigate a 'Ministry of reconciliation' (2 Corinthians 5:18)...
Which is focused on 3 relationships:
At the core, a relationship with God,
Also, relationships with each other,
Lastly, a relationship with the world– connecting all three to glorify Him.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
As His seasoned, wartime ambassadors, you have diplomatic immunity and impenetrable battle armor, because Satan’s darts are aiming for you.***
Even so, Paul's mission is your mission: to go to all the world and seek lost sheep, to represent Christ's love, light, hope, and peace, to lead the back to the Healer.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
Paul suffered real-time chains; you have freedom. Paul wrote with quills; you soar in media. So in this sky-scape of wandering stars, become God's brightest and most constant stars:
Be constantly aware of your mission and vigilantly sure of your status, as forward-bound ambassadors of Christ.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re ALL called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re ALL called to models of Jesus, and we ALL have gifts, talents, and callings from God– to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend READING THE BIBLE DAILY.
WARNING: Don’t focus on favorite verses, because out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
