Beginnings: Your New Script
If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever…
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him…
If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
John 14:15-23 (NKJV)
Within the constructs of entertainment, countless new scripts are read by directors. Writers hope for VIP approval.
But finding an excellent script is rare, hard, and of foundational importance. Because the best shows are built on great scripts. They become each production’s cornerstone:
“It all starts with the script” (Steven Spielberg).
“To make a great film, you need three things: the script, the script, and the script.” (Alfred Hitchcock).
“It's possible for me to make a bad movie out of a good script, but I can't make a good movie from a bad script.” (George Clooney).
If 'Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen' (Hebrews 11:1), then good scripts are the substance of good shows.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
You’re called to be actors in God’s good show. But it's more than good. It stands alone as…
“The Greatest Story Ever Told, Part 2: The Grand Finale.”
Your roles follow that of John the Baptist: 'Prepare the way of the Lord. Make His paths straight' (Matthew 3:3). If today's way is modern media, you must straighten out misunderstandings… about Who Christ is and what He values.
Specifically,
Jesus is the Word. The Word is your Script, and your Script’s #1 value is LOVE!
Therefore, LOVE is your prime motivation. Nevertheless, please note in John 14 (above) an unmistakable action and reaction which is spoken three times!
Your action:
Follow THE Star’s updated Commandments. (In order to keep Them, you must know Them.)
His reaction:
He'll send your personal Coach, His Spirit, (because you can’t succeed without His help.)
Your Commendation?
A Smile on the Face of THE Producer, and incredible, out-of-this-world perks.
Beginnings: Your New Script (Part 17)
NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re ALL called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re ALL called to models of Jesus, and we ALL have gifts, talents, and callings from God– to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend READING THE BIBLE DAILY.
WARNING: Don’t focus on favorite verses, because out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
