Beginnings: Revelation

And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:  “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.’

Revelation 3:14-21 (NKJV)

I’m making an analytical dive into the great Book of Revelation, because the Word Himself reveals content pertinent to this devotion series! He shows our end and a grand BEGINNING.

NOTE: Some scholars believe Christ's seven Letters to His churches are chronological, marking the evolution of the church. Many preachers believe we’re IN end times.

Does His final Letter refer to us?

Within It, He’s labeled the BEGINNING of all of His Father’s New Creations. Yet, is the church (as a whole) looking bad?

  • Have we become rich and self-satisfied?

  • Are we lukewarm and bent, but don't know it?

  • Are we unaware, “naked emperors?” *

  • Is this why church attendance has declined?**

  • Do we look “old” with manmade traditions?

Are we in urgent need of a Face-lift? If so, the Healer will start in our hearts. When our hearts are good, churches look lovely, glowing like the new creations we are!

Therein, the first beginning to embrace is our own RE-confirmation in Christ. If we’re securely anchored to the Light, every day will be a new beginning with untold adventures along our paths.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

The urgent need of YOUR “revelation”, “surprising and previously unknown” (Oxford dictionary definition)... was planned by the Lord when He planned the Earth! He knew this media age was coming!

Sadly, some misguided, cobwebbed Christians, stuck in their manmade, dusty traditions, continue to scorn this new mission field. This discouragement is not biblical.

Don’t hesitate to go where God leads you. For this purpose, He gave you your talents!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re ALL called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re ALL called to models of Jesus, and we ALL have gifts, talents, and callings from God–  to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend READING THE BIBLE DAILY.

WARNING: Don’t focus on favorite verses, because out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
