What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He Who did not spare His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God Who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ Who died, and furthermore, is also risen, Who is even at the right Hand of God, Who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
Romans 8:31-39 (NKJV)
Romans 8:31-39 (but actually all of Romans 8) stands among God’s most uplifting Verses!
In a prequel of dramatic contrast, Romans 7 reveals Paul's misery, as he shared losing battles with his flesh… which set the stage for THE Hero’s entrance: Jesus, the Christ, Who fought for and through Paul.
As we know, this Hero NEVER LOSES, and He’ll win for us, too– IF we're honest (like Paul) in confessing OUR weaknesses.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
With the bold nametag, “More Than Conquerors,” let’s NOT puff out our chests and get braggy. Instead, let’s get down on our knees and pray.
Let’s share our weakness… to receive God's strength! It’s EVER so much bigger than muscles… OR our victory over opponents, because our Captain was a humble Man.
In Him, being more than conquerors means...
Becoming more kind, gentle, and loving.
Becoming more giving and merciful.
Becoming more willing to sacrifice.
Becoming more helpful and neighborly.
Becoming more filled with peace and purpose.
Becoming more thankful for small blessings.
Becoming more Christlike… as we grow up.
Only Jesus could embody “being”, as He was and is, completely perfect. If we work on “becoming”, that’s enough.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
