Hot Topics: Chastity

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.

1 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV)

Chastity doesn't sound very modern, and not many people talk about it. So how can it be called a hot topic?

Maybe because we need to make it one (within our own mind– and not as critics).

Looking at media and stars today, chastity is yesterday's prudishness. They imply it's rulish and repressive, like a yoke to be cut and discarded– the opposite of passionate freedom.

But casual sex brings far harder yokes, and not one of them is the yoke of Christ!

What a sad con the enemy has played.

  • He’s KILLING our faith in fidelity.

  • He’s STEALING innocence from our children.

  • He’s DESTROYING our unwanted babies.

Too many Christians believe chastity is no more than an Old Testament Rule. NOT TRUE!

Christ and His disciples warned us about sexual immorality throughout the Gospels and the Epistles.

Also consider:

Studies of habits and repercussions from those who think sex is a dating game…acknowledge suffering, regret, and scars.

We don't judge, because that's God's dominion, but we can know and show something better.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

Refusing invitations to “free” sex– shows how much you value Christ and yourself. It’s a fresh and non-condemning approach to turn down twist and tie complications.

NOTE: If you’ve had intimate relationships, no sweat. Every day invites a new start.

Show your fans and family in Christ how much fun, joy, and FREEDOM are found in refusing cheap thrills that will bind you… until just the right life partner is found!

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.

WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
