Love... Is Extraordinary
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (NKJV)
Most parents absolutely love their kids. It’s true love, but not flawlessly wise love. As such, it’s not extraordinary love.
Most newlyweds bask in passionate love. As time passes, their love needs to grow up. Rarely, it becomes extraordinary.
Most best friends loyally love each other. Years and circumstances will test this love. Rarely, it becomes extraordinary.
What love is ALWAYS extraordinary?
Loving the unlovable, the sinful, the undeserving, and those who hate us… is unfailingly extraordinary.
Every Christian knows JESUS LOVES THIS WAY. Both Jesus as God and Jesus as Man loved and love us… no matter what we do.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ:
I understand why so many Christians think “entertainment” (modern media) is an enemy to what they hold dear. Lots of programs are dark and/or dirty.
On the other Hand, namely, our King’s Hand, aren’t dark places where He tells us to go?
‘You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven’ (Matthew 5:14-16).
‘I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners’ (Mark 2:17).
Christians who want to share the best of news aren’t just sent to impoverished nations. What about all the impoverished souls seeking fulfillment on screens in their hands?
Show them your King’s extraordinary love.
P.S. For Christians who like to judge Hollywood (and pour hate on stars, producers, and fans), who certainly don’t want you to go there… love them anyway and follow Jesus!
You are extraordinarily needed.
Love… Is Extraordinary (Part 39)
NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.
P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.
WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
