Love... Is Supporting

I am the least of all the apostles. In fact, I’m not even worthy to be called an apostle after the way I persecuted God’s church.

1 Corinthians 15:9 (NLT)

He, Who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.

John 1:27 (NKJV)

I can of Myself do nothing.

John 5:30 (NKJV)

Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make Him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by Himself.

John 6:15 (NIV)

Jesus spent His time supporting the weak:

  • Hungry multitudes, 12 fearful sailors.

  • 2 sightless beggars, 10 outcast lepers,

  • Guilt-stricken losers, desperate parents,

  • A grieving mother, a bent worshipper,

  • A hand-shriveled man, a humble Roman,

  • Slow-to-learn students, raving lunatics,

  • Countless poor, tired, maimed, hurt, and sick seekers.

  • Supporting the weak was always His goal!

On the other Hand (God’s Righteous Right Hand)… compared to Jesus, EVERYONE is weak! But here’s the totally essential part:

To receive the King’s life-changing Presence, we must BELIEVE. We must SEEK. We must ASK.

Therein, the strongest Man to walk the earth was quite content in His supporting role! The brightest star to shine on ANY stage never sought celebrity or awards.

Instead, He purposefully turned them down! He sought only His Father's approval.

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

What an AMAZING upside-down order! In supporting others, we become stars! Therein, let’s continue to remember (especially when we have “minor” roles)…

In God's Eyes, supporting is headlining, because supporting is how He loves us!

Love… Is Supporting (Part 63)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.

WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
