Love... Is Refreshing

Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.

Philemon 1:7 (NIV)

Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

John 4:14 (ESV)

God's Spirit has been described as a fire– a passionate, consuming Radiance: One Who rouses the hero inside you and burns away all trashy constructions.

He's also described as Living Water– a cooling, restoring, life-saving Drink: One Who refreshes your parched, withered soul and washes away the dark stain of sin.

By consequence, refreshed hearts overflow with rousing encouragement for others. Because…

'A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart... What you say flows from what is in your heart.' (Luke 6:45, NLT).

Have you noticed smiling, “sunny” people speak in gentle, uplifting, “Son-like” words? Words that bring life to others and their dreams?

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

You’re in a perfect position to help! Let's ask God for ourselves and each other:

Lord, let  Your Water Fountain flow from us, because exhausted people are in need!

Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones’ (Proverbs 16:24).

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God! We’re all called to be actors (action stars) for Jesus. We’re all called to be models of Jesus. We all have gifts, talents, and a commission to multiply them in the world for His glory.

P.S. NO DEVOTION, PREACHER, or SERMON… can begin to replace personal time in the Bible. I wholeheartedly and clear-headedly recommend DAILY BIBLE READING.

WARNING: Don’t focus on your favorite verses, because taken out of context, they’re often misinterpreted. I plead with you to READ AT LEAST 1 BIBLE CHAPTER DAILY. How long does it take? An average of 5 to 10 minutes!
