Ambassadors For Christ: Banner Advertising
You have raised a banner for those who fear You— a rallying point in the face of attack.
Psalm 60:4 (NLT)
On our 21st century roadways, or in New York City’s flashy Time Square, banner ads might be described as billboards.
On B.C. roadways, banner ads were flags.
'The word rendered 'banner' means properly anything elevated or lifted up... Here it doubtless refers to the flag, the banner, the standard of an army; and the idea is that God had committed such a standard to His people that they might go forth as soldiers in His cause. They were enlisted in His service, and were fighting His battles.'
'That it may be displayed because of the truth - In the cause of truth; or, in the defense of justice and right. It was not to be displayed for vain parade or ostentation; it was not to be unfolded in an unrighteous or unjust cause; it was not to be waved for the mere purpose of carrying desolation, or of securing victory; it was that a righteous cause might be vindicated, and that the honor of God might be promoted' (Barnes Notes on the Bible re: Psalm 60:4).

You, yourselves, are walking, talking billboards:
Acting, singing, moving, lovely billboards.
You’re 'The jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over His land.'
You display the Truth. His Name is Jesus.
As it was then (dark times), so it is now.
Modern media is Earth's grand roadway.
What’s truly new is roadways in the sky.
Messages travel at the speed of light…
To countless millions in a split second.
Today's key Scripture is your key duty: to multiply the talents God gave you… by investing them in media’s banks. The placement of your personal “billboard” is God's decision:
Your local theatre on Home Town Street. A fashion house on 7th Avenue. The Magnificent Mile in Chicago. A film set on Hollywood Boulevard… or a starring role on a Broadway stage.
Key decisions for you to consider:
Deciding for Whom, whom (or what) you stand.
Preparing yourself for “billboard status.”
Putting yourself places to be seen.
Staying on the HIGH ROAD, no matter what.
Rising and shining to glorify whom…?
