Ambassadors For Christ: Thanks & Praise

Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His Name!

Psalm 100:4 (ESV)

Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation.

Psalm 111:1 (ESV)

The high crown of entertainment success is a gleaming Academy Award. Following these royal coattails closely… countless shows bestow their own bright trophies to top performers with diverse talents.

What happens next? Acceptance speeches to countless viewers. Consider a few:

Expect increasing opportunities as God advances His stars’ positions on the worldly stages of media.

  • Talented Christians WILL win big awards!

  • Impressionable fans WILL hear God praised!

  • Young (and young at heart) Christians WILL lead us!

  • Countless millions who are lost WILL be found!

New saints WILL blow their horns and shout praises from every corner of this troubled Earth. Walls mightier than Jericho WILL fall. Because the power of praise is matchless.

  • It discredits the word, “impossible.”

  • It disarms every demonic stronghold.

Because the bright sounds of praise and worship are intolerable to Satan’s ears. As godly light chases away darkness, godly praise chases away devilry.

Therefore, offer our God the sacrifice of thanksgiving and praise in all your wins. (Your glory is His glory anyway:) 

Offer Him the very same sacrifice in all your losses--even in public. Because when you do, the reverse happens:

The Lord’s glory will become your glory. 

  • King David lived it: 'You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness' (Psalm 30:11).

  • Paul puts it this way: 'And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose' (Romans 8:28).
