God’s Diplomats: Conduct Code (Love)
For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 (ESV)
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love.
God is love, and all who live in love, live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the Day of judgment, but we can face Him with confidence, because we live like Jesus here in this world.
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.
1 John 4:16-18 (NLT)
God’s love is mighty and everlasting. Its length, depth, breadth, and height are limitless:* surely beyond human comprehension. Based on sins and flaws, we don’t deserve it!
God’s Commandments TO US regarding love, in that He orders us to act in love… are equally vast and imperative.
We may feel some people don’t deserve love… like:
Cruel villains who do terrible things,
Faithless loved ones who lie and betray us,
Loud-mouthed liberals OR conservatives,
Those who DID or did NOT get COVID shots,
Grouchy, trashy, and lazy neighbors,
Plus anyone who’s OBVIOUSLY wrong!
Bottom line: Jesus OBVIOUSLY believes they do. SHOCKING NEWS: Each of us is just as wrong!
‘All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind, our sins sweep us away’ (Isaiah 64:6).**
‘For whoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all’ (James 2:10).
Here’s my BIG CONCERN: Self-professed Christians who spew lots of hate, regarding people with different views, misrepresent Jesus, Who ALWAYS loved.***
DISCLOSURE STATEMENT: I’m a Bible-believing, sold-out saint, who believes STRONGLY in social justice and identifies as ‘independent.’ I agree with most liberal causes. Yes, I’m white, but only on the outside. Yes, I’m from the South, but not in bias. Yes, I’m a senior, but not in my heart!

*** Jesus did get visibly angry twice: 1) His long, detailed, and scathing indictment in Matthew 23 against religious hypocrites: leaders, who misrepresent God. 2) His overthrowing of merchant tables at the temple in Matthew 21 and Mark 11, because simple worshippers were being cheated by thieves, charging exorbitant prices in His Own House! A house of prayer!
