Ambassadors For Christ: Politics
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
Romans 13:1-2 (NKJV)
Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work.
Titus 3:1 (NKJV)
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV)
Jesus Christ wasn’t into politics. Surely, during His three decades on Earth, He witnessed misconduct and injustice. The Roman and Jewish authorities perpetrated many terrible things.
But He was quiet. He didn’t protest.
Why?
Because God allowed or appointed them. Jesus knew His Father had His reasons. He also knew perfect justice would come… in the Lord’s timing and by the Lord’s Hand.
Actors, models, and talent for Christ: Consider…
Ambassadors on foreign assignments don’t criticize the local governments. Actually, it’s none of their business.
Instead, ambassadors must show goodwill to represent their homeland properly, so people they meet will want to come there!
Therefore,
When Christians protest or say hateful things, when they get wrapped up in conspiracies, when they condemn elected officials, when they fuss and fret about worldly things…
They’re disrespecting their Father’s Orders,
They’re forgetting the MUCH BIGGER PICTURE…
Of knowing and showing the love of Christ,
In order to bring people to Jesus.

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If what I write is good, it’s from God. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players.’ Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
