The Armor Of God: Goodness

If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:20-21 (NKJV)

One of the devil’s battle strategies is to use witless people like puppets. Earth’s nefarious manipulator offers his hand to vulnerable souls. He puts dark and lying thoughts in their minds.

Satan, this puppeteer, Earth’s accuser, loves to pull the strings of mean-mouthed bullies. Their minds are clouded. Their insults are his. Their attacks are his.

What if we’re the ones receiving the hits? We, the victims, must become warriors!

Our Father says, ‘Overcome evil with good.’ How in the world could that possibly work? HINT: Nothing IN THIS WORLD can defeat Satan (or transform the people under his sway). Here’s what DOES work… supernaturally!

  • Offer undeserving persecutors the gracious fruit of the Holy Spirit,*

  • Because aggressors don’t know they’ve been starved, but may ‘Taste and see that the Lord is good’ (Psalm 34:8)!

  • Muddled minds can clear. Satan’s sway can stop! Unusual goodness can be shocking…

  • In the most wondrous way: the Way called Christ, just as one soldier was changed at the Cross!

Actors, models, and talent for Christ:

While judgy Christians condemn Hollywood for their naughty acts and wayward stars,

– which is certainly understandable, but spiritually missing the mark– and therefore TOTALLY INEFFECTIVE...

– which actually makes THEM mouthpieces for ‘The price of the power of the air’ (Ephesians 2:2) as opposed to ‘Ambassadors for Christ’ (2 Corinthians 5:20)...

Your good words and examples on the field… are direct hits on Satan’s evil schemes!

The Armor Of God: Goodness (Part 13)

* Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

NOTE: God is my Ghostwriter. If anything I write is on point and agrees with His Word, it’s not from me. You may see notes to 'Actors, Models & Talent for Christ.' If you think you're not in show business, think again. Shakespeare said, 'All the world's a stage and all its men and women merely players. Mostly true. But you're not merely players. You are messengers and ambassadors for the King of kings.
